Everything is pink in Phoenix. A mix of throw up and bad malt shakes- but in a good way. This is Carbon Therrien.

The art of famous Joan Miro was displayed in this Central Ave. S. of Roosevelt window, abandoned and forgotten to all.

The Living Gallery was a 2005 thing that should be revived. The Living Gallery was born because no one had access to an art space, we decided that we should be the gallery; our ideas, our art. Alive since it was us, not a building. We would come together and paint, draw, dip, dive, sing, dance, performance art, studio art. It shall return again this fall.

The idea for the Court of Photown came from a New Times Article about the 'Prince of Phoenix', we decided Photown was in grave need of some royalty, and thus set off to give titles to everyone. The quest for King of Photown has been going on for a few weeks, and Lizzie is set to be Queen to whomever King might be. Kat is Court Alchemist, Lucas is Court Jester, There is a whole slew of ladies in waiting and knights whose proper titles have yet to be distributed. The Court of Photown watches out for the Kingdom.

Guerrilla Art in Photown is the new thing. Take a cue from Jean-Michel Basquiat and co-conspirer, Andy Warhol.

The Naming the Months Project began last February [perhaps even earlier, summer 2005 was themed 'the summer of honesty']when a few people believed that there was not enough structure to our lives, and that, in an effort to spice up the months that so easily drift by unnoticed, began giving a theme to each. February was "the month of consideration" and we began, in February, to consider all things and all possibilities which we had previously passed judgments on. In March we believed in 'taking chances', April became the month of 'walk the walk' (opposed to talk the talk, saying but not doing), and May was the month of ambiguity- which is just as it sounds. Interestingly enough June became the month of intensity, fueled by the drama of our lives, and after all that work and intesity, July was deemed the 'month of decadence' so we could kick back and relax.
August is 'the month of making ammends', go and do with it as you please.

"The physical impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living"
The Shark House is an art gallery conceived from the dream mind of Alix one night. The Shark House will be located on Central and Camelback, in the current 'Cheese and Stuff' eatery. The gallery is all white and displays pictures, sculptures, etc. of sharks. The gallery will hold the premier show 'Homage to Fat People' in the fall/winter. The Shark House has a pool behind it, drained once a month and open to skaters.
